Led development of a production lending platform used daily by internal teams, investors, and clients. The system handled real money, real compliance requirements, and real operational pressure. I was both the technical lead and a hands-on engineer throughout the six-year engagement.

What I Contributed

  • ▸Led a development team while remaining hands-on with architecture and code delivery
  • ▸Designed and implemented the full loan lifecycle — customer onboarding, origination, multi-stage approvals, disbursement, and repayment tracking
  • ▸Built complex financial calculations including daily ledger processing, interest forecasting, and transactional operations where accuracy and auditability were essential
  • ▸Implemented investor operations — portfolio dashboards, reporting, and investor-specific views
  • ▸Designed and supported integrations between the core platform and third-party systems using REST APIs and Azure services
  • ▸Implemented role-based access controls, authentication, and authorization for clients, investors, staff, and administrators
  • ▸Supported the transition towards a more modular and scalable SaaS-oriented architecture while maintaining stability across existing workflows

Technical Environment

Worked as a senior engineer on Halo, Setfords' business-critical legal practice management platform. This was a mature enterprise product used daily by solicitors and operational teams across a national law firm to manage matters, case workflows, document handling, billing, payments, compliance activities, and internal business processes.

What I Contributed

  • ▸Developed and enhanced features across a mature enterprise platform where reliability, maintainability, security, and business continuity were critical
  • ▸Worked using C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular 19, SQL Server, REST APIs, and frontend/backend integrations while supporting complex business workflows
  • ▸Collaborated with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA engineers, stakeholders, and operational users to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions

Technical Environment
