Connecting existing business data to Microsoft Foundry and RAG
I am studying and prototyping how established ASP.NET Core applications can prepare information from SQL Server, documents and APIs for secure retrieval-augmented generation using Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry). The operational system remains the source of truth; Azure AI Search provides a separate knowledge layer for vector, semantic and hybrid retrieval.
This is active practical development built on my commercial background in enterprise data, APIs, permissions and business workflows—not a claim of long-term production AI experience.
